Project Équi T-É
Project Équi T-É (ÉQUIlibre Travail-Études - Work - Study Balance) is initiated by the Marguerite-Bourgeoys and Lester-B-Pearson school boards, in collaboration with 5 Carrefours jeunesse-emploi (Lachine, LaSalle, Verdun, Ouest-de-l'Île et Saint-Laurent).
Inspired by a pilot project developed in 2008-2009 in Verdun, the Worka-and-Study Balance Program aims at maximizing the impact business have on school retention by offering students education-friendly jobs
Équi T-É increases awareness among employers, students and within the community. It offers youth-oriented support to those managing a job while in school. It determines and supports employer's influence and values the positive contribution of various stakeholders.
Équi T-É is designed for:
- High school students and their parents
- Business community within the regional limits (employers and professionals)
- School Teams
- Community
The program is based on proven hands-on successful approach that supports students in their efforts to succeed in school.
